World of Music: Revisited: Springsteen on Broadway (Bruce Springsteen)

Intro:

In de jaren 90 waren de MTV Unplugged sessies iets waar iedere fan naar uit keek. Zo ook The Boss Bruce Springsteen. Bruce deed het net even anders en maakte naar 1 unplugged nummer er een plugged concert van. Een concert dat zeker goed ontvangen werd maar niet de essentie van Unplugged weergaf. Ondertussen maakte Springsteen wel het akoestisch album Devil and Dust.

Luisterervaring:

Na dat de autobiografie Born to Run uitkwam was het verhaal van de legendarische muzikant wereldwijd bekend. Hierna besloot Bruce een solo optreden op Broadway te houden. Dit ging van 8 weken naar nog meer extra optredens. Tijdens dit optreden staat Bruce helemaa alleen op het podium met uitzondering van twee nummers die hij met zijn vrouw Patti doet. De nummers zijn afgewisseld met dialoog uit zijn boek en zijn leven. The Boss met de billen bloot. Een uniek optreden. December 2018 kwam de live cd uit en werd de show uitgezonden op Netflix. Een geweldige show voor liefhebbers van zijn muziek. Een echt kadootje aan zijn fans.
